The product-comparison app has been backed by the London Co-Investment Fund.

Sciapps, a UK-based business that has developed a skincare product app called SkinNinja, has raised £750,000 ($1m) in a seed funding round, FinSMEs has this week reported.

The round was led by Voulez Capital, a venture capital firm focusing on investment in women-led businesses, as featured participation from the government-backed London Co-Investment Fund, investment firm Firestartr, and a number of private investors.

SkinNinja, which was created by entrepreneur Jo Osborne, allows consumers to check detailed product information about popular skincare brands.
