The Irish Venture Capital Association (IVCA) said the number of seed or start up funding rounds had increased from 32 in 2008 to 85 in 2013, 390 rounds in total since 2007.

According to the data provider PitchBook, 140 Dublin-headquartered companies have received venture capital (VC) since 2011, with 26 in 2014 so far.
