Belfast gains an accelerator program for approximately 20 startups as Xcell Partners wins another contract from Invest Northern Ireland.
Xcell Partners, a Northern Ireland-based startup consultancy, has won a contract from Invest Northern Ireland to manage a startup accelerator program, according to the Irish News.
Invest Northern Ireland is a part of the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Investment of the Northern Ireland government.
Xcell Partners has run the Propel Programme on behalf of Invest Norther Ireland since 2009, an accelerator for export-focussed startups.
The latest contract has enabled Xcell Partners to move premises, investing £450,000 ($680,000) in an office and open plan warehouse in Belfast. The building will house approximately 20 startups.
Diane Roberts, founder of Xcell Partners, said: “We work primarily with high-end startups and companies that want to achieve accelerated market growth or have global potential. In addition to our current projects, our clients include Enterprise Ireland, and a range of private clients.
“Over the past few years we have also been an active player in the local investment scene and we are currently close to launching a further initiative.”
