Innovation Network Corporation of Japan has returned for another funding round raised by Astroscale, which is working on technology to collect man-made space debris.

The European Space Agency estimated there were more than 170 million man-made pieces of space debris larger than one millimetre orbiting earth as of mid-2013 – a figure likely to have increased since.
