Welcome to Global Government Venturing
Global Government Venturing a website written for the venture capital units funded by governments, as well as those responsible for setting tax and legal policies affecting the venture and entrepreneurial ecosystem.
The site covers the deal activity, people moves and regulatory and other relevant stories from major economies’ direct minority equity investment and limited partner commitment to venture capital funds, as well as the tax and legal policies affecting the venture and entrepreneurial ecosystem. This provides the most comprehensive data and analysis of their activities, as well as the best comment from the most highly-regarded thinkers. This culminates each year in a gathering of top government venturing programs at the GCVI Summit in Monterey, California, in January.
The website covers the most important stories relevant to government venturers and offers a push-service email newsletter each week.
The title is published by Mawsonia, which also produces the Global Corporate Venturing and Global University Venturing titles.
Events and Delegations
Our annual Global Government Venturing conference was first held in Eindhoven, Netherlands, on February 3-4 2015, before relocating to Silicon Valley, where it has been held as part of the GCVI Summit in conjunction with 700 corporate venturing investors representing $6 trillion in aggregate annual revenues and more than $100bn in venture assets under management.
Global Government Venturing, and its sister titles, also arrange delegations of corporate and other venture investors to meet governments and support foreign direct investment initiatives to build a local corporate venturing ecosystem and boost investment in startups and commitments to VC funds.
These can be created as needed for clients built off exclusive content and discussion forums.
