Vertex sweetens CloudCherry series A

Vertex Ventures, backed by Temasek, has contributed to a $6m series A round alongside corporate investors IDG Ventures and Cisco Ventures.

CloudCherry, an India-based customer experience management platform, has raised $6m in series A capital from a consortium including Vertex Ventures, the Economic Times wrote on Saturday.

Vertex, a venture capital firm backed by Singapore's sovereign wealth fund Temasek, invested alongside IDG Ventures and Cisco Ventures, respective investment arms of media company International Data Group and networking equipment manufacturer Cisco.

Founded in 2013, CloudCherry operates a software-as-a-service platform that enables companies to track, measure and improve customer experience. It is majority-owned by Customer Analytics Technologies.

The capital will go towards international expansion efforts, including Southeast Asia, west Asia and the US.

IDG Ventures India and angel investment group Chennai Angels previously provided $1m in seed funding in July 2015.
