NEL promotes two of its own

NEL Fund Managers promotes David Thomas and Jonathan Luke, who have a combined experience of 18 years at the firm.

David Thomas and Jonathan Luke, both of whom work at at NEL Fund Managers, a company that manages a fund for Finance for Business North East, have been promoted.

David Thomas has taken on the role of investment manager after working for the company as an investment executive for almost six years.

Jonathan Luke is now a portfolio manager having been a senior portfolio executive for the past 12 and a half years.

NEL Fund Managers manages the Finance for North East Growth Fund, which focuses on revenue generating companies looking for growth capital.

Luke works with companies that have already received funding to review progress and support their management teams while Thomas works with businesses looking to apply for growth capital in supporting their applications.

Yvonne Gale, chief executive at NEL Fund Managers, said: “Both Thomas and Luke are highly experienced professionals, and their promotions recognise the depth of experience they offer to both our business and the companies with which we work.

“Our aim with these moves is to further strengthen NEL Fund Managers’s management team in advance of future fundraising work, and to make best use of the knowledge that Thomas and Luke have to help us make even better investment decisions.”
