McGregor to leave Temasek

Neil McGregor, senior managing director at Temasek, will depart on March 31 to join Sembcorp Industries as chief executive and group president.

Neil McGregor (pictured), head of energy and resources, head of Australia and New Zealand and a senior managing director at Singapore’s sovereign wealth fund Temasek, is due to step down on March 31 2017.

McGregor will join Sembcorp Industries, a conglomerate with interests in marine engineering, urban development and utilities, as chief executive and group president on April 1 2017.

He had been with Temasek since June 2014, when he joined from Singapore LNG Corporation, the operator of a liquefied natural gas terminal in the city-state, where he had been CEO since 2009.

McGregor previously held various positions in the electricity and gas sectors in Germany, India and New Zealand.

Temasek did not name his replacement in its statement, in which the firm thanked McGregor for his service and wished him success in his new role.
