Lanahan joins Launch Tennessee

John Lanahan will take over from Jason Denenberg as director of capital formation, following Denenberg's departure to focus on his startup.
Launch Tennessee, the public-private partnership focused on startups and fast-growing companies in the US state, has hired John Lanahan as director of capital formation.
Lanahan had been a senior associate performing due diligence, sourcing deals and working with portfolio companies at Launch Capital, based most recently in New York.
Local entrepreneur Jason Denenberg had been LaunchTN’s director of entrepreneurship and capital formation but will focus on his NourishWise startup.
Taking over the entrepreneurship piece — which oversees a statewide network of entrepreneur centres and coordinates event programming — is Jill Van Beke, who already is LaunchTN’s director of innovation and commercialisation.
Charlie Brock, chief executive of LaunchTN, said: "John's experience working with entrepreneurs and his investor connections throughout the country will further our efforts to make Tennessee the best state in the Southeast for startups.
“Jill has been integral to our successes at LaunchTN over the past several years and will lead our efforts to create a world class network of entrepreneur centers across the state."
