Kevin Kimsa moves on from Omers Ventures

Omers Ventures, the investment arm of the Ontario Municipal Employees Retirement System pension fund, has lost its managing director as Kevin Kimsa leaves his role at the organisation.

Kevin Kimsa has left his managing director role at Omers Ventures, the venture capital arm of the Ontario Municipal Employees Retirement System pension fund.

Kimsa joined the company in 2013, becoming managing director of the organisation. During his time there he was appointed to the boards of several companies that received funding including customer intelligence platform Vision Critical Communications and online small business product company Wave Accounting.

Kimsa left the firm in July although his reasons for leaving were not released. He is now looking for personal investment opportunities in startups and for board positions on companies.
