Innovation Network reveals two investments

The Japanese wealth fund has put money into two Tokyo-based businesses.

Innovation Network Corporation of Japan, the country’s sovereign wealth fund, has made investments into two businesses, Deal Street Asia reports.

The firms in question are Optical Comb, a measurement instruments supplier, and drug company PeptiStar. The former has raised Y1.3bn ($12m) in a series B funding round which also featured Hiroshima Venture Capital, Chibagin Capital, The Iyo Bank Capital, Innovations & Future, Yamanashi Chugin Management Consulting as well as returning investors Nissay Capital and Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance Venture Capital.

Innovation Network Corporation has provided growth funding worth Y750m in PeptiStar.
