Bélanger moves up in BDC Capital

Dominique Bélanger moves from his vice-president position in BDC Capital to become managing director of fund investments.

Dominique Bélanger of BDC Capital, the investment subsidiary of Canada government-owned Business Development Bank of Canada, has taken on the role of managing director of fund investments.

Bélanger stepped up to his new role last month, moving on from his previous position of vice-president for strategic investments and partnership. He had held the previous job for over five and a half years.

Bélanger, who specialises in venture capital and angel investment in technology businesses, began working for BDC Capital in 2010. Before this, notable jobs included co-founder and president of game development company Gamerizon, chief financial officer at multiplayer gaming technology firm Quazal and investment manager at venture capital firm Innovatech Montreal.
