All change at EDFI

The Association of European Development Finance Institutions appoints a new general manager and elects a new chairman to take over from the existing position holders when they retire in September 2016.

Søren Peter Andreasen has been appointed as the general manager of the Association of European Development Finance Institutions (EDFI).

The appointment was made by the chief executives of the member associations at the EDFI annual general meeting held in Oxford at the end of May 2016.

EDFI is made up of 15 European development finance institutions. It was founded in 1992 to generate cooperation between its members and strengthen links between the institutions and the European Union.

Andreasen will take on the role in September 2016 when the current general manager retires.

Alongside this appointment, Luuk Zonneveld, chief executive of BIO, the Belgian investment company for developing countries and member of EDFI, has been elected as the next chairman of the organisation replacing Nanno Kleiterp when he retires in September 2016.
